The Challenge

When Project Happiness connected with EM, their site was built in a React App, with the site content embedded inside the code. Generally, this is a great option for a developer-managed site; however, this was not the case for Project Happiness. With no ability to manage the site, it became crucial to migrate the content into a CMS. In addition, they wanted their site to speak to their audience—and of course it would have to scale with them as their work grew.

Email Marketing Overhaul

PHG lives up to their mission to project happiness, sending out over 1.5 emails monthly. They needed a reliable and affordable email system (finding their old system expensive and unintuitive) to integrate with their site and workflow.

Freedom with Contentful

EM made content management a breeze by moving everything into Contentful. Actions like update text, swap images, and refresh homepage elements became easy and accessible, for any team member. No developers needed.

A Gatsby Home(page)

EM transferred Project Happiness to Gatsby, to utilize their highly customizable homepage. With this solution, PHG has complete control of the look and feel of their content: from hero video that converts to carousel, cards that can link out, and dynamic colors—they have the control they lacked in their previous site!

Happy SEO, Happy Visitors

EM elevated Project Happiness with a speedy Gatsby migration, boosting performance, SEO, and accessibility.

Emails: High Volume, Low Stress

EM switched their email marketing system to Kajabi: providing an efficient, cost-effective automation solution for their emails. Thanks to a handy Zapier integration, their GatsbyJS site and Kajabi now work together seamlessly.
